We are thrilled to showcase our collaboration with the Duff Roblin Provincial Park on this jaw-dropping viewing platform.
The structure celebrates two remarkable milestones in Manitoba’s history: the Winnipeg flood control system and the creation of the beautiful Duff Roblin Provincial Park.
The one-of-a-kind steel ramp and observation deck offers panoramic views of the majestic Red River Floodway and the Inlet Control Structure. And right at the heart of the platform stands a colossal 40-foot-long original piston from the floodway gates.
Plus, you’ll find a plaza featuring a vintage 1960s bulldozer—a nod to the very equipment used to construct the floodway.
The park also marks the starting point of the incredible Duff Roblin Parkway Trail—a 44 km scenic route along the floodway, leading you to Birds Hill Provincial Park.
Definitely worth the trip to this hidden gem and important piece of Manitoba’s history!
